The Gibraltar boys basketball team won their first Packerland Conference game of the season, 68-57, over Sevastopol in Institute on Friday Night. The Pioneers (0-7, 3-9) opened an early 13-4 lead only to see the Vikings (1-6, 2-9) take their first lead with 6:49 to play in the half at 19-17. After trading baskets, Gibraltar would end the half on a 17-6 run for a 38-26 advantage at the break and then maintained a double digit lead for most of the second half on their way to victory. Trevor Reinhardt finished with 18 points for the Vikings while Evan Henry added 13. Robby Pollman led the Pioneers with 18 points while Brent Haberli added 13 and Eddie Garcia 10. The Vikings host Gillett at 2:30 on Saturday.
