Sturgeon Bay’s Anthony Anderson won two events at the WIAA Division 2 Regional Track & Field Meet at Brillion on Tuesday. Anderson won the long jump and triple jump events and Jasmine Noel won the discus for the Clippers. Southern Door’s Cal McCarty (discus) and Mason LeMere (High Jump) also won Regional titles on Tuesday. Luxemburg-Casco’s Dylan McGuire (400), Shane Peronto (800), Grace Thelen (100 Hurdles), Lisa Baeten (1600) and Maggie Liebeck (shot put) won individual titles while the Spartans boys 1600 Relay team (Corey Legois, Shane Peronto, Travis Kinnard, Dylan McGuire) and 3200 Relay Team (Tristan Kolb, Shane Peronto, Brandon Schuch, Kyle Sampo) took top honors. also took top honors. Abby Van Goethem (200) and Kewaunee’s boys 800 Relay (Travis Squires, Alex Robinson, Jesse Kleiman, Caleb Johnson) were also regional champions. Brillion (girls) and Two Rivers (boys) won the team title. Freedom will host the Sectional on Friday.
Division 3
Whitney Ebert and Kennedy Blahnik won two events at the Hilbert Regional on Tuesday. Ebert won the (1600, 3200) while Blahnik dominated the the Shot Put and Discus. Shante Williams (Triple Jump), Rachel Feuerstein (Pole Vault), Devin Kostichka (Shot Put) and Algoma’s girls 3200 Relay team (Carly Baumann, Whitney Ebert, Kayden Robertson, Kaitlyn Wahlers)also won titles for the Wolves. Gibraltar’s Makenna Ash (400) and Sevastopol’s Joe Bruno (1600) also won individual events on Tuesday. The Algoma girls won the team title while the Hilbert boys took team honors. Princeton will host the Sectional on Friday.
