The Sevastopol girls overcame a slow start to pick up a home win over Peshtigo Thursday, 54-36. The Pioneers (6-2 Packerland / 10-4 overall) went scoreless for the first four and a half minutes, but once they did score they took control. They scored nine straight points and led 28-16 at halftime. Sevastopol’s lead would grow to 21 in the second half as they won their fifth straight game. Naomi Rikkola and Kayla Ranly each scored 15 points to lead the Pioneers. Cameron Finger scored 14 points for Peshtigo (4-4 / 6-6).
