Sevastopol needed eight innings to beat Port Edwards, 12-8, in a Division 4 regional baseball game on Thursday. The Pioneers were able to force extra innings when Tyler Grooters threw out the potential winning run at home plate in the bottom of the 7th inning. Grooters finished with four hits, Bo Tanck (double/triple) had three hits while Logan Schuh (2 hits) Harry Schartner, Andrew Wiesner and Grooters all doubled. Tanck threw two innings in relief for the win. Sevastopol will play at Iola-Scandinavia on Tuesday.
