Penguins Rally for First Win

Algoma won their first game of the season as they rallied from a 5-1 deficit to beat Kewaunee, 7-5, in a Shoreland Baseball League game at Perry Field on Tuesday. The Penguins scored three runs in the bottom of the 8th inning as Tyler Neinas walked and scored a run to spark the rally. Jack Peterson and Brayden Skenandor had two hits to lead Algoma, Brady Kita and Austen Dart each had two stolen bases. Drew Price pitched the first five innings for Algoma, Carson Leist worked two innings for the win and Charlie Prokash struck out the side in the 9th for the save. Wyatt Kruse led Kewaunee with three hits and starter Joe Anderson struck out 16 in a no-decision.
