Pawelski Wins at Bluejay Challenge

Hunter Pawelski won the 138 pound championship to help the Southern Door wrestling team to a third place finish at the 25 team Bluejay Challenge in Merrill on Saturday.
138 – Hunter Pawelski (27-5) placed 1st.
1st Place Match – Hunter Pawelski won by decision over Donovan Houle ( Elcho) 10-3 (Dec 7-3)152 – Jacob Englebert (30-1) placed 2nd.
1st Place Match – Jared Scharenbrock (Sun Prairie) 24-0 won by decision over Jacob Englebert  (Dec 9-5)

106 – Ben Hoida (26-8) placed 3rd.
3rd Place Match – Ben Hoida won by fall over Quincy Stephens (Barron) 17-6 (Fall 1:52)
285 – Mitchell Overbeck (6-3) placed 3rd.

3rd Place Match – Mitchell Overbeck won by decision over Jake Borchardt (Tomahawk) 25-3 (Dec 7-3)
160 – Nolan Wagner (27-5) placed 4th.

Sturgeon Bay beat the Milwaukee CEO Leadership Academy, 75-68, in overtime on Saturday.  Trey Bumgardner scored 20 points for the Clippers while Joey Sheehy, Matthew Van Bramer and Caleb Owens all scored in double figures.
