Oconto Pair Pushes Past Gibraltar

Carter Koch and Cooper Campshure helped Oconto end a three game losing streak as the Blue Devils won at Gibraltar Friday night, 67-60. Leading 27-21 at halftime, the Vikings (1-10 Packerland / 3-13 overall) scored the first five points of the second half to boost their lead to eleven. The Blue Devils (7-4 / 11-7) used a 17-5 run to take a 38-37 lead with twelve minutes to play. The teams then went back-and-forth and tied at 55, Oconto went on an 8-0 run to put them ahead for good. The Blue Devils leaned on juniors Koch and Campshure down the stretch as the pair scored 37 of their team’s 46 second half points. Koch finished with 34 points and went over 1,000 total points. Campshure scored 15 points. Braden Sitte and Liam Lindenberg each scored 16 points for Gibraltar and Marshall Maltby added 12.
