Kewaunee’s Season Comes To An End

Kewaunee lost at Wrightstown in a WIAA Division 4 Level 3 playoff game Saturday afternoon, 36-12.  A pair of interceptions by Wrightstown’s Cody Van Rossum led to two first quarter scores.  Jackson Fox gave the Tigers a 7-0 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run and Jon Braeger latter added a 55-yard TD run.  Fox tacked on a 2-yard scoring run in the second quarter as Wrightstown led 22-0 at the half.  Fox added a third touchdown run in the second half as Wrightstown controlled the contest with a potent run game and a stifling defense.  Wrightstown improves to 12-0 and advances to a Level 4 match-up with Brodhead/Juda, who beat Lakeside Lutheran Saturday, 28-21.

Caleb Johnson tossed two second half touchdown passes to Jared Pribek.  The first covered three yards while the second was from 13 yards out.  Pribek caught six touchdown passes in three playoff games.  Kewaunee finishes the season with a record of 9-3.
