Kewaunee vs Lancaster….Again

Kewaunee will play Lancaster in a WIAA Division 5 Level 4 playoff game at 7:00 tonight at Brookfield Central High School.  It’s the fourth time the two teams have met in the    playoffs since 2001, with Lancaster winning the previous three times.  The Storm (11-1) have cruised through the first three weeks of the postseason with wins over Brillion, Winnebago Lutheran Academy and Cedar Grove Belgium.  A balanced Kewaunee attack features 4 players with 7 or more touchdowns.  Quarterback Caleb Johnson has thrown for 1,892 yards and 21 touchdowns while Jesse Kleiman has a team high 10 td catches.  The Flying Arrows (12-0) have eliminated Waterloo, Laconia and Racine Saint Catherine’s.  Lancaster, champions of the Southwest Wisconsin Conference, has 57 rushing touchdowns.  Tyler Glass leads the way with 1,387 yards and 24 td’s while quarterback Nate Tranel has thrown for 1,004 yards and 16 td’s and rushed for 923 yards and 16 td’s.  We’ll hear from coaches John Hoch and Kurt Flaten in the Jorns Chevrolet of Kewaunee pregame show at 6:40 and kickoff is 7:00 on 93.9FM / wdor.com
