The Kewaunee girls basketball team will play Barron at 9:05 Friday morning at the WIAA Girls State Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison. The Storm (22-4) will play the Golden Bears (21-5) in the first of two Division 3 semi-finals. Oostburg (22-4) will play East Troy (24-2) in the second game of the morning session. While Kewaunee returns to Madison for the second straight season, Barron is back for the first time since 2001. Barron head coach James Bartlett talks about the players on his team….

The Golden Bears tied for third in the Heart O’ North conference and beat Spooner, Chetek/Weyerhauser and Bloomer in the postseason before knocking off Westby in Chippewa Falls in the Sectional Final last Saturday. Coach Bartlett talked about his concerns with Kewaunee….
