Kewaunee And Valders Meet Again

Kewaunee (8-2) will play at Valders (7-3) Saturday afternoon in the second round of the WIAA Division 4 football playoffs.  This is the ninth overall meeting between the two schools and the third time the two teams have played in the postseason.  Kewaunee has won all eight of the previous games with Valders, including playoff wins in 2002 and 2004.  The Storm also beat the Vikings 45-0 earlier this season.  Considering all of the above, Kewaunee head coach Kurt Flaten was asked if he has to be worried about his team being overconfident…

This is the 12th straight year that Kewaunee has played in the postseason and 20th overall playoff appearance for the defending state champs.  In fact, this is the eighth straight year that Kewaunee has reached Level 2.  Coach Flaten believes all of that postseason experience benefits his team…
