
Evan signs his NLI with parents Mark and Lisa
Luxemburg-Casco’s Evan Kanz signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, accepting a full scholarship offer from Eastern Illinois. The 6’4, 295 pound right guard verbally committed to coach Dino Babers following his official visit to the campus a little over two weeks ago. Kanz is the first Division 1 football recruit from L-C. Spartans Coach Mike Snowberry….”For a big man, he has unbelievably quick feet and hands and is an explosive player off the line-of-scrimmage. He has everything college coaches are looking for in size, speed, toughness on top of being a great student in the classroom.”

Kanz said that he is fairly certain that he will focus on a political science degree. Evan is a three sport letterwinner at Luxemburg-Casco. Eastern Illinois University is located in Charleston, Illinois.
