Johnson Hired at SNC

Al Johnson has been named offensive line coach at Saint Norbert College in De Pere.  Johnson was an all-state lineman at Southern Door and a three year starter for the Badgers.  He was a second round draft choice of the Dallas Cowboys in 2003 and also played for Arizona and Miami before retiring.  Johnson was an assistant at Southern Door last year and says that he is excited about this opportunity with the Green Knights….[audio:http://wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/al1.mp3|titles=Al Johnson- named offensive line coach at SNC]Johnson joked that his NFL resume “can’t hurt” when it comes to recruiting and that Saint Norbert sells itself with a great education, winning tradition and great facilities including a new football stadium.  Johnson and Southern Door coach Dan McCarty formed the Al Johnson Line Camps in September of 2012, and that will continue….[audio:http://wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/AL2.mp3|titles=Al Johnson- Line camps will continue]Saint Norbert finished (8-3) in 2013 and lost to eventual National Champion UW-Whitewater 31-8 in the opening round of the playoffs.
