Sturgeon Bay Legion Manager George Husby was honored at the annual Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Clinic in February.
While leading the Legion team from 1967-70 and from 1981 to present, Husby’s teams have piled up 689 wins and was presented with a 600 victory award plaque. The other plaque is for 50 years of overall coaching. Since 1963, Husby has coached Little League, Stars of Tomorrow (Babe Ruth), Junior Legion and Legion baseball in Sturgeon Bay.
