The WIAA released the brackets for the girls basketball tournament Sunday afternoon. Defending state champons Algoma and Kewaunee received first round byes as did Oconto. Southern Door and N-E-W Lutheran were the only two Packerland Conference teams to host first round games. The WIAA girls basketball tournament begins Tuesday, March 4th with games beginning at 7 PM. Here is where the area teams landed in the brackets (seed is in parentheses):

(10) Sturgeon Bay at (7) Wrightstown
(9) Luxemburg-Casco at (8) Manitowoc Roncalli
(12) Chilton at (5) Southern Door
(4) Kewaunee received a first round bye and will host the winner of the game listed above
Division 3
(5) Gibraltar at (4) Manitowoc Lutheran
(1) Algoma received a first round bye and will host the winner of the game listed above
(2) Oconto received a first round bye and will host the Stratford / Spencer winner
