Egg Harbor (6-1) is all alone in first place in the Door County League. That’s after they beat Kolberg Sunday, 4-1. Down 1-0, Egg Harbor tied the game in the top of the fifth on a two-out, run scoring single by Brian Crook. The Indians went ahead for good with a run in the sixth and they tacked on two insurance runs in the ninth. Riley Spetz had three hits in the win. He scored twice and drove in a run. Matt Ash had two hits and drove in a pair of runs and Crook had two hits as well. Dave Jilot (4-1) went the distance for the win. Eric Lardinois had two hits to lead Kolberg (4-2). Jeff Sperber (1-2) took the loss as he pitched the final five innings in relief of Adam Bretl.
Sister Bay won at Washington Island, 6-1. Sister Bay (5-2) broke open a one run game with four runs in the ninth. Stuart Larsen homered in the win. He and Tom Sawyer had two hits. Wil Henriksen (3-2) went the distance for the win. He gave up one run on five hits. Jack Rose led Washington Island (4-3) with two hits. Troy Jorgenson (4-2) tossed a complete game, but took the loss.
Maplewood beat Baileys Harbor, 13-5. The Mets (2-5) scored six runs in the first and never trailed. Allen Karas had five hits in five trips to the plate. John Price and Chad LaLuzerne both had two hits. Calvin Falk (2-1) went the first seven innings for the win. Brett Anschutz and Sam Ausloos each had two hits for Baileys Harbor (0-6). Anschutz (0-6) pitched the first five innings and took the loss.
West Jacksonport (4-3) beat Institute (2-5), 10-4. No other details were provided.
