Sister Bay & Egg Harbor remain unbeaten after week 5 of the Door County Baseball Tournament. With two weeks left before the playoffs West Jacksonport and Kolberg are holding on to the 3rd and 4th seeds.
Egg Harbor(5-0) beat West Jacksonport(3-2) Sunday 8-5. Cody Giesseman homered and doubled, and Casey Giesseman added two hits to lead the Indians. Drew Tanck had 4 hits for the Ports.
Matt Hecht threw a complete game for Sister Bay(5-0) as the Bays knocked off Kolberg(3-2) by a score of 4-1 Sunday. Tom Sawyer drove in two runs in the 6th inning to break the game open. Sawyer, Alex Laughlin, and Spencer Krause had two hits each for Sister Bay.
Washington Island(1-4) shut out Baileys Harbor(0-5) 10-0. The game was scoreless through 4, then the Islanders scored 5 runs in the 5th inning. Ben Johnson had 3 hits and drove in 3 runs, Alex Johnson pitched 7 innings and earned the win.
On Friday night Institute(2-3) beat Maplewood(1-4) 1-0. Quin Schram hit a walk off triple to drive in the winning run for the Cubs.
