Wrightstown beat Sturgeon Bay 47-41 in a boys high school basketball season opener at Sturgeon Bay on Tuesday Night. The Clippers (0-1) tied the game at 39-39 with 3:30 to play on a three pointer by Matthew Van Bramer but the Tigers quickly regained the lead on a Nathan Larsen offensive rebound and basket. Larsen scored a game high 14 points for the shorthanded Tigers (1-0) and Brandon Kahler added 12. Trey Baumgardner scored 9 points and Wyatt Warner added 8 for Sturgeon Bay.
