Southern Door beat Sturgeon Bay 50-45 in a boys Packerland Conference game on Tuesday to earn a split of the season series between the two Door County rivals. Mitchel Neubauer scored 13 points and Mitchell Gerend added 11 for the Eagles while Joey Sheehy scored 13 and Riley Cordier added 11 for the Clippers. Sturgeon Bay’s Levi Haight drilled a three pointer with 2:16 to play but Southern Door’s Aaron Larsen made 5 of 6 free throws to secure the win for the Eagles. Southern Door (5-5, 9-6) will play Notre Dame on Thursday while Sturgeon Bay (3-6, 7-10) will host Kewaunee.
