Southern Door rallied from a two touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Sturgeon Bay 29-28 at Memorial Field on Friday Night. The Clippers took a 28-15 lead with :03 seconds to play in the third when Lucas Stephenson scored on a 2 yard touchdown run but the Eagles answered with a 34 yard touchdown pass from Mitchel Neubauer to Mitchell Gerend to close to within 28-22. On their next drive, the Clippers (0-4, 0-6) went for it and failed on 4th and 4 from their on 37 yard line. Southern Door (2-2, 2-4) quickly tied the game on a 28 yard td run by Nolan Wagner and took the lead for the first time when Keegan Kroening kicked the PAT with 5:55 to play and the Eagles held on from there. Neubauer added an 18 yard td run and 34 yard td pass to Austin Rohe while Sturgeon Bay’s Matthew Van Bramer threw a 5 yard td pass to Riley Cordier and a 53 yard td to Trey Bumgarnder and Stephenson also had a 33 yard td run.
