Eagles Dominate Hatchets

Southern Door opened the WIAA Division 5 playoffs with a 48-7 win over Tomahawk. The Eagles (9-1) took advantage of a Matthew Malvitz interception on the third play of the game to set up a Zack Lynch 6 yard td run and following a Hatchets fumbled snap on a punt, drove only seven yards and another Lynch TD for a 13-0 with 5:40 to play in the first quarter. Lynch would add his third score of the first half early in the second quarter, followed by a Drew Daoust scoring pass to James Fish for a 28-0 lead at the break. Daoust had an 80 yard td run on the second play of the second half to get to running clock. Gaige Geisel and Grant Weber had the final touchdowns of the game. Southern Door will host Wrightstown next week. (WDOR)
