Eagles and Storm Win to Secure Rematch

Southern Door beat Chilton, 34-7, in a WIAA Division 5 playoff football game in Brussels on Friday Night. The Eagles (11-0) fumbled the opening kickoff and the Tigers went just 27 yards for the opening score on a Max Mueller 1 yard run. Southern Door answered with a 73 yard drive and tied the game at 7-7 early in the second quarter with a Drew Daoust 1 yard plunge. The Eagles added a pair of scores in the final 4:53 of the first half, the first on a Daoust to Taylor Schaefer 50 yard pass following a Lance LeGrave fumble recovery and then a Christian Counard interception with 2:58 to play in the half led to a 97 yard drive ending in a 33 yard td pass from Daoust to Jack Peterson. Zack Lynch had a 31 yard rushing score following a Cody Nellis fumble recovery in the third quarter and Daoust completed the scoring with a fourth quarter td pass to Derek Schinktgen. The Eagles will host Kewaunee (10-1) next Friday on WDOR.
