The Egg Harbor Indians clinched the regular season championship Sunday afternoon with a 10-6 win over Maplewood. Egg Harbor was led by Riley Spetz who had 2 doubles, a home run, scored 2 runs & drove 2 in. Jason Fuller added a double, single & a home run, while Eric Dejardine, Rob Schartner & Joe Sawyer added 2 hits each.
Kolberg pounded Baileys Harbor 19-5. Jeff Sperber had 4 hits & scored 4 times, Chris Wery, Jesse Miller & Eric Lardnois had 3 hits each for the Braves. Baileys Harbor was led by Paul Nelson with 3 hits including a home run.
Sister Bay handled Institute 7-1, Sam Forkert struck out 9 for the Bays & hit a home run. Justin Hartel was the only player for either team with more than 1 hit, Hartel had 2 for the Bays, who scored 5 in the first inning & never looked back.
West Jacksonport beat Washington Island 16-8, Stewart Larsen had 3 hits, two of which were home runs, & drove in 4 to fuel the offense for the Ports. Larsen, Alex Larsen, & Tanner Biwer all had 3 hits for the Ports. West Jacksonport scored 8 runs in the first 2 innings to pull away from the Islanders.
