Cubs Avoid Sweep, Shut Brewers Out

The Chicago Cubs scored 6 runs in the third inning Thursday on their way to an 8-0 win over the Brewers. With the win, the Cubs avoided being swept in the four game series. Brewers starter Zack Greinke was roughed up giving up eight runs in three & two thirds innings. Cubs starter Matt Garza was sharp, striking out 9 batters in eight & two thirds innings giving up only 3 hits.

The Brewers head to Atlanta for a three game series beginning Friday night, first pitch is scheduled for 6:35PM, pre-game coverage begins at 6PM on 93.9FM WDOR.
