The Sturgeon Bay girls basketball team picked up their first win of the season, 54-41, over Gibraltar on Saturday afternoon. The Clippers pulled away from an 8-8 game to build a 22-11 lead in the first half only to see the Vikings close to within 29-26 early in the second half. But Sturgeon Bay would score 11 straight points to put the game out of reach, including a three pointer from Dasha Yeltysheva, who finished with 23 points. Regan Kasten added 17 and Kady Carlson finished with 10 for the Clippers while Megan Schar scored 15 points for the Vikings and Anna Jarosh added 10.
