Clippers Swimmers Win

Sturgeon Bay beat Pulaski 93-89 at the Peterson Aquatics Center at the YMCA on Tuesday Night.

It was and complete team victory for the Clippers. Without having divers, the Sturgeon Bay immediately found themselves in a hole, but managed to win several races, but more importantly, the less experienced swimmers garnered numerous 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes to capture significant points for the team.  A sweep of the top three spots by Will Hartman, Creston Davison and Sam Hargis in the 100 backstroke helped propel the Clippers into first place.

Clippers Coach Tony Smith said “considering this was our only home meet of the year, combined with Parents Night, this was a huge victory for the Clipper Swim Team.”

Sturgeon Bay won 4 other events with Doug Foss taking the 100 & 200 Freestyle and Kyle Hubbard won the 200IM & 100 Butterfly events.
