Clippers Shock Eagles

The Sturgeon Bay boys basketball team used a 14-0 fourth quarter run to rally past Southern Door, 47-45, on Tuesday Night.  The Eagles built a 37-27 lead with 5:29 to play, but the Clippers turned to a turnover causing half court trap that also ignited their offensive attack.  Southern Door had a chance to tie at the buzzer but the ball rolled off of the rim as time expired.  Riley Cordier and Trey Bumgardner scored 16 points each for Sturgeon Bay (1-2, 2-3) while the Eagles (2-2, 4-2) were led by Trevor Hawkey (13 points) and Austin Rohe (11 points).  It was also the 300th win for Sturgeon Bay coach Jim Benesh.
