Clippers Pull Away From Blazers

Sturgeon Bay won their first Packerland Conference girls basketball game, 51-38, over NEW Lutheran in Green Bay on Friday Night.  The Clippers (1-2, 2-2) led 16-15 in the 2nd quarter before extending to a 26-16 lead at the half.  The Blazers (1-2, 1-2) cut a 19 point deficit to 10 before a Caroline Haen basket with 2:47 to play helped secure the win for Sturgeon Bay.  The Clippers were led by Caralyn Mickey and Hailey Benesh with 13 points each.  Sadie Nier led NEW Lutheran with 13 and Keifer Zimmerman added 12 in the loss.
