Antigo beat Sturgeon Bay, 27-20, in a non-conference football game at Memorial Field on Friday. The two teams played a scoreless first half, but the Red Robins (2-0) had a two touchdown lead with 6:13 to play in the third quarter. Sturgeon Bay scored their first points with 1:01 to play in the quarter when Caleb Plzak found Patrick Haese on a 14 yard scoring pass and took the lead on a Haese four yard run with 8:18 remaining and a 14-13 advantage. The Red Robins answered with a 66 yard td pass to Brett Krueger to regain the lead at 21-14 before a Caleb Plzak to Bryce Plzak 31 yard score made it 21-20 after a failed two point conversion by Sturgeon Bay. Antigo quarterback Colton Thomae scored the final touchdown of the night before the Clippers turned the ball over on downs with less than a minute to play.
