Eleven football players from Sturgeon Bay High School attended the High School Player Development camp June 14 and 15 at the Don Hutson Center outside Lambeau Field. Two – incoming junior Kyle Medlen and incoming freshman Bruce Anschutz — played on the winning 7-on-7 football team.
The two-day camp, sponsored jointly by the NFL and National Guard, emphasizes football fundamentals, while instructing in safety and concussion awareness, character development and life skills, and the importance of academics in football. Staff included high school and college coaches from Wisconsin and Minnesota as well as members of the National Guard.
