The Green Bay Press Gazette reported Wednesday that Sturgeon Bay’s Chris Greisen was signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. According to the paper, there is a chance that the 35-year old quarterback could be elevated to the active roster if Jon Kitna has to be put on injured reserve.
This is Greisen’s second stint with the Cowboys. He signed with the team in December of 2010 and was on the active roster for the regular season finale last year. Greisen led the Virginia Destroyers to the UFL championship in October.
Greisen has appeared in five games with the Arizona Carindals in 1999 and 2000. He completed seven of 16 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.
