The Northern Door Legion baseball team swept a doubleheader from Kewaunee County by scores of 5-1 and 9-6 on Saturday in Baileys Harbor.
In game 1, Tanner Biwer struck out 14 in the win and his leadoff double started a 5 run rally in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Cheifs tied the game on Cody Giesseman’s RBI single while Cam Zak and Will Gonzalez also drove in runs in the inning. Dan Dorner had two hits for the Lakers and Sam Kohnle scored their only run.
In game 2, the Lakers took the early lead as Sam Koss and Sam Kohnle drove in runs before Northern Door took the lead for good in the 4th. Cawley Hubner drove in Biwer to tie the game while Gonzalez and Drew Tanck drew bases loaded walks to take a 3-2 lead. The Chiefs then scored 5 runs on 5 hits in the 5th inning. Hubner and Tanck had 2-run base hits and Jack Brennan added an RBI single. Matt Hecht struck out 10 in victory. Josh Vandenhouten had 2 hits for Kewaunee County.

The Appleton Doubledays swept a doubleheader from Sturgeon Bay at Memorial Field by scores of 11-2 and 4-3. David Van Dreese and Riley Schartner had three hits on the day and Lucas Stephenson allowed one run in four innings.
