Northern Door lost to Omro 3-2 in 8 innings in the opening round of the Class “A” Legion Baseball Regional Tournament in Denmark. The Chiefs tied the game in the top of the 7th inning when Cawley Hubner lined a base hit that scored Cody Giesseman. But Omro’s Luke Purtell led off the bottom of the 8th with an infield single and scored the game winner on a Cody Albright RBI single. Dalton Beriau had 3 hits to lead Omro while Issac Reyes pitched in relief for the win. Hubner, Matt Hecht and Jack Brennan had the only hits while Giesseman walked twice and scored both runs for Northern Door. The Chiefs will play an elimination game at 5:00 Friday afternoon in Denmark and we’ll have the broadcast on 93.9FM / wdor.com
