Northern Door dominated Sturgeon Bay 10-0 in 5 innings in a FRV East Division American Legion baseball game on Tuesday Night in Institute. The Chiefs scored three runs in the first inning as Tanner Biwer had an RBI double and Jack Brennan added a 2-run single. Northern Door (5-5) added 2 runs in the 3rd inning and 5 runs on 5 hits in the 4th. Biwer had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s while Drew Tanck added 2 hits and Brennan, Matt Hecht and Austin Bauldry had 2 RBI’s each. Hecht pitched a 3-hitter for the win.
Chilton (9-3) clinched at least a share of the East Division title with a 10-5 win over Denmark on Tuesday while Freedom improved to (8-3) with a 12-1 win over Wrightstown. Sturgeon Bay (7-4) will host Denmark on Wednesday at Memorial Field.
