The Sturgeon Bay 12 year old All Star team finished second at the State Tournament in Darlington on Tuesday. Sturgeon Bay beat Stevens Point 8-4 as Mitch Jackson picked up the win while Jackson, Nathan Stenzel, Tanner DeGrave and Trent Ehlers all had 2 hits and Carson Talbert added an 2 RBI pinch hit double in the win. Sturgeon Bay lost to the Green Bay Sluggers 13-1 in the championship game. Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay advance to Ohio Valley Regional in Vincennes, Indiana.

Sturgeon Bay lost to Bay Port 10-0 on Tuesday in Sauk City. With the loss Sturgeon Bay (3-2) was eliminated from the tournament and finished in third place for the second consecutive year. Eau Claire beat Bay Port 18-2 to repeat as State Champions.
