Bays Hit Three Home Runs To Support Cordier No-Hitter

Sturgeon Bay beat Kewaunee County 7-2 in an FRV East Division Legion baseball game at Memorial Field on Thursday Night.  Riley Cordier fired a no-hitter with 8 strikeouts while Riley Schartner, Jason Lindemann and Cordier hit home runs to fuel the Bays 12 hit attack.  The Lakers (3-2) scored two runs in the top of the first after Cordier walked the first three batters of the game, but Sturgeon Bay (2-2) answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead for good.  Schartner started the rally with his home run while Joey Fuerst and Casey Giesseman drove in runs in the inning.  Lindemann and Cordier added home runs in the third inning and Fuerst drove in another run in the fourth.  Lindemann finished 4X4 and Fuerst, Schartner and Cordier all had two hits in the game.  The Bays while play Chilton at 8:00 tonight.  It’s gas card night and $125.00 is being given away at Memorial Field.
