Badgers Win 20th

The 15th ranked Wisconsin men beat Penn State at the Kohl Center Sunday, 65-55.  The Badgers led by twenty early in the second half, but the Nittany Lions got back into the game with a 17-2 run which cut their deficit to five.  However, that’s as close as the game would get as Wisconsin beat Penn State for a fifteenth straight time in Madison.  The Badgers are now 9-5 in the Big Ten and 20-7 overall.  Its the sixth straight season and ninth time that Wisconsin has won at least 20 games with Bo Ryan as head coach.  Prior to Ryan’s arrival, the U-W men hit the 20 win mark only four times.

Josh Gasser led Wisconsin with 15 points, while Jared Berggren added 13 and both Jordan Taylor and Ryan Evans chipped in 11.  Mike Bruesewitz pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.  Next up for the Wisconsin men, is a trip to Iowa Thursday night.
