Badgers Suffer First Loss Of Season

The Wisconsin men lost their Big Ten – ACC Challenge game at North Carolina Wednesday night, 60-57.  The Badgers had a five point lead early in the second half, but the Tar Heels used an 18-5 run to regain control.  During that stretch, UNC’s Harrison Barnes scored 10 of his game-high 20 points.  Wisconsin struggled from three point range hitting just 8 of 28.  The Badgers also only managed to get to the free throw line six times, making three.

Guard Jordan Taylor scored 18 points and Forward Jared Berggren added 14 as Wisconsin falls to 6-1.  The Badgers will be back in action Saturday when they host the 16th ranked Golden Eagles of Marquette (6-0).  That game begins at 3:30.  Coverage on 93.9 FM WDOR gets underway at 2:30.
