The Wisconsin men will take on Montana this afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Badgers (24-9) finished fourth in the Big Ten in the regular season and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament. The Grizzlies (25-6) won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in the Big Sky. Wisconsin is the four seed in the East Region while Montana is the thirteen. Today’s game will be played in Albuquerque, New Mexico and tips at 1:10. You can hear Wisconsin’s second round game on 93.9 FM WDOR. Pregame coverage begins at noon.

This is Wisconsin’s 18th trip to the NCAA tournament and their 14th straight appearance. The Badgers are 23-16 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
The Badgers were a 4 seed last season and made it to the Sweet 16 where they lost to Butler, 61-54.
Wisconsin and Montana have met twice before, with the Badgers winning both contests. The last meeting between the two schools was in 1997.
Montana, who has won 14 straight, is making its ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Grizzlies are 1-7 in their previous eight trips.
Former Wisconsin guard Freddie Owens is an assistant coach at Montana.
