It took the Wisconsin football team just under ten minutes to score their first points Saturday, but once Montee Ball hit the endzone with 5:07 to play in the first quarter, the Badgers pummeling of the Indiana Hoosiers was on. Wisconsin improves to 2-0 in the Big Ten and 6-0 overall as they beat Indiana, 59-7. Ball ran for three scores and 142 yards on just 14 carries and he threw a 25-yard scoring pass to quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson completed 12 of 17 passes for 166 yards and he threw a touchdown pass to tightend Jacob Pedersen. With Nick Toon out with an injury, Jared Abbrederis was the Badgers main target as he caught four passes for 63 yards. Wisconsin has now outscored Indiana (0-3 / 1-6), 142 to 27 the last two years.
Next up for Wisconsin is a trip to Michigan State. The Spartans improved to 2-0 in the Big Ten and 5-1 overall with a 28-14 upset of rival Michigan. Kickoff at East Lansing is at 7 PM Saturday.
