Another Disappointing Loss For The Badgers

Wisconsin lost its second straight game, falling at Ohio State Saturday night, 33-29.  A week after losing to Michigan State on a Hail Mary, the Badgers were once again done in by a late pass.  Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller found receiver Devin Smith for a 40-yard touchdown with just 20 seconds remaining in the game.  That TD spoiled another fourth quarter rally by Wisconsin.  The Badgers scored 15 points in the final four minutes.  Quarterback Russell Wilson and receiver Jared Abbrederis hooked up for two scores, the second of which came with 1:19 left in the game, covered 49 yards and with the two point conversion gave Wisconsin a short-lived 29-26 lead.

Wilson completed 20 of 32 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns.  Abbrederis caught six passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns.  Montee Ball gained 85 yards on 17 carries and that included a 40 yard run.  Ball caught a 22-yard TD pass and had a 1-yard scoring run.

The Badgers are now 2-2 in the Big Ten and 6-2 overall.  Next up for Wisconsin is a home game with Purdue (2-2, 3-4).  Kickoff Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium is at 2:30.
