Algoma to Play Amherst in Sectional Semi-Final

The Algoma girls basketball team will play Amherst in a WIAA Division 4 Sectional semi-final at Seymour on Thursday Night.  The Wolves (22-2) are the Packerland Conference Champions and have tourney wins over Manitowoc Lutheran and Brillion.  Kennedy Blahnik (15ppg) and Anna Dier (10.5ppg) are the leading scorers for the Wolves and they combined for 43 points in the Regional Final against Brillion.  The Falcons (20-4) finished third in the Central Wisconsin-Eight behind Wittenburg-Birnamwood and Bonduel and have tourney wins over Weyauwega-Fremont and Saint Mary Central.  Jaimee Pitt, a Division 2 Winona State recruit, is their leading scorer at 17ppg.  Our coverage begins at 6:45 with the Jorns Chevrolet of Kewaunee pregame show on 93.9FM /
