Algoma Lone Survivor in Softball Tournament

Algoma beat Sevastopol 21-0 at Pederson Park on Tuesday in a WIAA Division 4 Regional Semi-Final.  The defending State Champion Wolves scored 9 runs in the first inning and were never threatened.  Algoma will host NEW Lutheran on Thursday after the Blazers beat Gillett 9-4 on Tuesday.

West De Pere beat Sturgeon Bay 10-1 as Amber Van Duyse threw a one hit shutout and the Phantoms pounded out 14 hits.  Paige Kramer had a one out single in the 7th for the Clippers only hit while Natalie Marchant walked and scored Sturgeon Bay’s only run in the 2nd inning.  Jennifer Timm and MJ Evers had 3 hits to lead West De Pere while Megan Lau finished with 2 hits and 5 RBI.  The Phantoms look the lead for good in the 3rd inning on a bases clearing double by Timm.
