YMCA to Add Daycare

With the acquisition of the former Sneakers Two Child Care & Learning Center in Sturgeon Bay, the Door County YMCA intends to add licensed daycare to its program offerings. The YMCA is currently the largest provider of child care in the United States & the 5,500 square foot facility at 1748 Egg Harbor Road fits well with the organization’s mission. The new child development center will deliver quality care designed to meet the needs of infants six weeks old through school age children. Programming will incorporate a pre-school curriculum aligned with the Wisconsin model early learning standards, healthy & nutritious meals, & activities designed to foster healthy living. Full & part time enrollments will be accepted starting in March with an anticipated opening in early April. Angie Bosman is the YMCA’s child development director.
