The Women’s Fund of Door County is creating a project to recognize the important role that women play in the Door community as they honor area mothers. Beginning the week of May 12th, a selection of photos and quotes about Door County women will be featured on the Women’s Fund of Door County’s Facebook page. Everyone is encouraged to submit photos and quotes about the important role a woman has played in their lives, why this person is an inspiration, what makes this woman special, or a message of thanks and appreciation.
You can send your submissions as a Facebook message to the Facebook page for The Women’s Fund of Door County by Friday, May 10th to be included. Women’s Fund board member Abby Grommet says whether it is in the traditional sense of mom, or as grandma, aunt, friend, mentor, or sister, there are so many roles women play in our community, and through this project they look forward to recognizing these wonderful women.
