Wisconsin Free Fun Weekend June 6-7

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is hosting their 8th annual “Wisconsin Free Fun Weekend” this June 6th and 7th. During that weekend state park admission stickers and trail passes will not be required. Also, you will be able to fish without a fishing license and without trout or salmon stamps. All other fishing regulations will still apply. On that weekend, ATV’s and UTV’s will be exempt from registration requirements and you will not need a trail pass for riding state ATV trails. All D.N.R. boat launches are now open, but events such as fishing clinics are still canceled. Also, remember some state parks now have capacity limits as a safety measure to limit overcrowding. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy these parks responsibly close to home and, of course, practice social distancing. Everyone is asked to avoid congregating in large groups, use hand sanitizer often, and wear masks when social distancing is difficult.
