WDOR News has learned that Tim Raymond, Superintendent of the Washington Island School District, has accepted a position with the Cambria-Friesland District & will be leaving the island at the end of the current school year. We’re told that Raymond, who has been at the island school for three years, will officially announce his decision to move on at the school board meeting Thursday. On Monday, the Cambria-Friesland Board of Education will officially hire Raymond who is expected to begin his new job in July. The Cambria-Friesland School District is located about 40 miles north of Madison. It becomes the second school district to hire Raymond as superintendent.
