Washington Island Fly In/Fish Boil

As many as one hundred fifty to two hundred fifty pilots & planes could find their way to the Washington Island airport on Saturday to take part in the 58th annual fly in whitefish boil. Every year the event, sponsored by the Washington Island Lions Club, provides a great meal & raises a considerable amount of money for Lions charities. Beyond the traditional Door County meal, there will also be music, crafts, & fun for the entire family, along with free hayrides with wagons pulled by Icelandic horses. Serving is from 11AM until 1PM. If you don’t have an airplane, but still want to get in on all of the fun, take the Washington Island Ferry & drive to the Island airport. The rain date is Sunday. The 58th annual fly in fish boil, sponsored by the Washington Island Lions Club, is Saturday, July 16th at the Washington Island airport.
