The United Way of Door County has invested $20,000 in a program geared toward helping people who have been released from incarceration lead productive lives. The funding will be used by WEP, Incorporated for its “Recidivism Reduction” program. Amy Millberg, case manager & employment specialist, will work with soon to be released men & women, helping them receive support services , so they don’t return to old habits &, ultimately, time behind bars. The goal of the “recidivism Reduction” program is to increase their success rate for becoming productive citizens through employment, education & attitude.
