As the United Way campaign reaches the 11th hour in Door County, two figures have emerged…2% and $11,000. That’s how close the local organization is to reaching its goal of a little more than $457,000…2% or $11,000. The fundraising effort has already surpassed last year’s final figure, making it a success no matter what happens. But reaching the goal during this time of economic instability would make things even sweeter. The campaign ends Saturday. An easy way to help is to make a pledge and work out a payback plan later.
